A great tool for weight loss
Dr Sandra Cabot’s QuickLoss truly is a great tool for weight loss!
Here at Cabot Health we love our food; we eat very healthy lunches, snacks, and we even threw the microwave oven out years ago. Of course, we still have the odd chocolate or two but then again chocolate is good for you.
Hippocrates is famous for the saying, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food,” and in keeping with the true forefather of Nutritional Medicine, world-renowned holistic medical doctor, Sandra Cabot, also believes that specific foods and unprocessed foods can be the solution to overcome poor health. The seat of good health comes from the foods that we choose to eat, and that is why following the lifestyle protocols, which Dr Cabot has long been advocating, is the way forward to achieve the goal to improve energy and shed unwanted fat off the body.
Realistically, life is all about energy – mental, physical and spiritual energy, and carrying 20 kilograms of extra fat will deplete energy and cause ageing more rapidly; yes, that’s right, being overweight is incredibly ageing.
Often when beginning a weight loss regime, it’s hard to know where to start, let alone what foods are best to add, eliminate or reduce, and the mention of portion control, well wasn’t that what started the trouble in the first place?
Realising the importance of providing a healthy nutritional solution for what seems like every scenario, Dr Cabot developed her QuickLoss Meal Replacement Program.
A total fan of whole foods and fresh foods, Dr. Cabot also realised that, given the busy lifestyles we have, the time required to prepare well-balanced and nutritionally proportionate meals may not always be possible. Additionally, there’s that issue about portion control that still lingers. It was with these factors in mind that QuickLoss was developed.
QuickLoss provides a nutritionally proportionate meal replacement that is focussed on weight loss, metabolism and optimal energy.
If you have used or are currently using a meal replacement protocol, just check the carbohydrate content of the meal replacement;
– Is it mere 18 grams per serve like QuickLoss?
– Does it have as little as 204 calories like QuickLoss?
Anyway let’s get out of those straight nutritional stats; let’s check some other aspects to QuickLoss that make this the number one meal replacement available today.
One aspect of QuickLoss that I would like to bring to your attention to is Inulin – have you heard of it? Why do we love Inulin? Inulin is a fibre – technically known as a Oligo fructose – but I don’t want to lose you in the technical lingo, so let me give you a little information, so that you realize your love for Inulin also.
Inulin has zero calories and doesn’t metabolise in the body. Inulin promotes bone health by enhancing absorption of calcium from other foods; inulin has a pre-biotic role in the intestines promoting “good” bacteria growth that maintains both a healthy colon and balanced immunity.

Healthy Breakfast Stir Fry
What’s so different about our Healthy Breakfast Stir Fry is a little known root vegetable called Jicama. Jicama is very similar in texture to a turnip with a taste closer to an apple. Jicama is low in calories and high in some vital nutrients. The great thing about Jicama is its starch content – or lack of. In contrast with the tradition of root vegetables being high in starch- Jicama is not- in fact Jicama is a bit of a contradiction when it comes to its starch content.
One serve of Jicama provides one-quarter of what’s needed daily in fibre. But it gets even better- Jicama is full of not just any fibre – jicama’s fibre is infused with the oligofructose inulin!
And you already know about inulin- after reading this article you probably want to avail yourself of the health benefits of inulin! And because it has a very low glycemic index, jicama is a great food for diabetics.
